Hi guys,
Today I'd like to propose an exercise for all you beautiful readers :D
Do you ever feel any frustration 'cuz you haven't achieved the things you've always wanted? Or even worse, you don't even know what you want...
So I was thinking of the things that I like or the kinda life that I think I'd be happy to have (accepting that being happy doesn't really mean having things or achieving them, its nothing but a decision you make), and I had this thought:
"In a perfect world, I'd be writing novels and taking pictures"
It was a very simple thought, but a meaningful one for me.
Then it occurred to me: "why not?" What's really stopping me from doing the things I really want to do but my own mind? Your mind has a power that you can't even imagine. And by that I mean your thoughts. If your thoughts are limited, so is your life. Whatever you decide to think and however you decide to see the world, that is exactly the life you are building in your head for you. So what's really stopping me from being a writer and taking pictures? Only my head and my negative thoughts. Thoughts like "Only lucky people get the lives they want", "I need more money to start doing that", "I don't even know where to start", "People is not gonna like my stuff"and so on... We are our worst enemies, aren't we? Well, that can change.
Anyhow, how do you know if you don't even try? What do "lucky" people have that you don't have? What they do have is that they are conscious of the fact that the world is ours. Yeah, as crazy as it sounds, start embracing the fact that the world is yours. You were born with the right to be happy and to get anything you set your mind to. There's no such thing as little money out there, or very few opportunities. If thats what you think, that is certainly what you will get. So why not change your thoughts to "there is enough for everyone".
Let me put another little example before we start... Some people were born with the belief that "the world is too big". For them, traveling around seems almost impossible and you do notice that those kinda people actually never get to travel. If you think something is too big, then it becomes unachievable. The people I've met that know that the world is small and nothing is impossible (even if they have the same amount of money of the other type mentioned before), they do get to do a lot of traveling. Some people in the small town where I grew up, thought that the fact that I was traveling, meant that I had a lot of money. They were wrong, cuz its amazing when I realize how little money I needed to travel. I grew up with my mind set that the world was too small to stay in only one place. And when I think of it, i ask myself "how did I achieve some of these things?", and then I realized that I have no idea. When I read the book "The Secret"I was just surprised of how right they are. Your thoughts become your reality and what you believe of live and people becomes your experiences. They say you only have to wish, and the universe takes care of it. And yeah, I do agree that it is how it works.
Ok, so first I wanted you guys to understand that, and now I'm going to encourage you to make your own list. I want you to start with the phrase "In a perfect world..." and then describe your ideal situation. Don't think of what other people want, don't think of how much money you have or the country you live in... Just think of yourself and the things that YOU want. Its ok to be selfish from time to time. You have no idea how being selfish helps your health.
Here are some examples of the phrases you can think of:
"In a perfect world, I'd have a beautiful home"
So when you think of that, embrace the fact that that is your dream and no one or nothing can take it away from you and you deserve it. Live every day of your life working towards that dream, and the universe will respond.
"In a perfect world, I'd be a better parent"
So if thats what you want, whats stopping you? Why not start today? Don't be afraid of people thinking that you are a hypocrite because you are changing. You can start being a more lovely and full of compassion person today. You can be anything you want.
"In a perfect world, I'd be living by the sea"
Think of it, its not impossible. If thats what you want, follow your dreams. People who don't follow their dreams die a bit more inside everyday.
Try to think of things that you can actually imagine yourself doing and not because you saw some people doing them. You see someone wearing Dolce and Gabbana on a yatch and posting "living the good life" on Instagram and you think you want that too, but do you actually? I mean, if thats your dream, go for it. But when you do this list, really picture yourself doing all those things. Just try to see yourself in the most happy situation. Some things can be simple and make you happy. Like:
"In a perfect world, I'd accept the things that I cant change and be happy with it""
"In a perfect world, I'd be in love with life""
"In a perfect world, I'd smile more to strangers and I'd be more present in every moment of my life"
"In a perfect world, I wouldn't be living anymore in the past and thinking about the future. I'd be living today"
So guys, think of no limits. Everything is possible if you really put all your energy and thoughts in it. Yeah, those things wont just fall from the sky, you gotta work on it. But if its your dream, I'm pretty sure it won't be a waste.
Have a sweet life :)

People call others FAKE but, aren't we all?
Ok, so I've just been thinking... we've all criticized someone because they are fake. Thing is, aren't we all?
Unconsciously, there will always be someone we are imitating. People we have been looking at or listening to since we are young. People whose image was an impact for us while we were growing up and somehow, we ended up acting like them. Someday you hear this girl with this very sweet voice and paused accent and you suddenly wish you sounded like her. Or if you are a guy, you probably want to sound like the cool guy of your class or even look like him or dress like him. Doesn't that mean that we all are a little fake? Only a few people could say that they are truly themselves. That people would feel no envy, no aspirations towards anything physical... But lets face it, thats probably only Jesus, Buda and Osho. The rest of us are all fake bitches (kidding) taking selfies cuz we saw someone we thought was cool doing it or painting little hearts on our nails cuz we saw it somewhere.
Usually they call fake the girls who wear loads of makeup. I honestly don't even see what the problem with that is. Maybe they are covering some insecurities? Maybe they aren't entirely confortable with themselves? Right, but who are we to judge? Don't we all have some insecurities anyway? Some girls that don't wear any makeup are actually too insecure to wear it. They worry that people will notice and start calling them fake, or they sometimes even think that they don't deserve to look pretty... that they'd look like a clown. Also makeup is kind of an art... nothing wrong with that. Some girls think they shouldn't wear makeup cuz "guys don't like it". Ok, if the guy is gonna be intimidated just cuz u wanna look pretty, think twice if that's the kinda guy you want to get with. Plus in the end we end up finding the people who's gonna like us however we are... with or without makeup. Many girls have natural looks and they can still have the most fake personality.
Same with plastic surgery. Ok, this a delicate subject cuz ANY surgery is dangerous at some point. There's always going to be a chance (as slight as it could be) that something goes wrong. Even if you find the best surgeon in your city, shit happens. So i think people should think how bad they actually want it and if its really going to help them in their lives. So, i'm not even going to talk about the fact that you will look fake or not, and I'm not even going to criticize it cuz I'd probably have some one day, but really be conscious that you are risking your life over bigger tits or smaller nose or wider eyes... Just saying.
Anyways, going back to our main subject, think twice when you criticize. You see a pretty girl and she gets all the guys attention, and suddenly you notice she's got fake nose. Are you the kind of girl who goes to your girlfriends like "yeah... she's pretty... but thats a fake nose, isn't it?" Or "yeah, she's cute, but she wears a lot of makeup..."(by the way, when you say that, you unconsciously or not, are trying to make people notice that this girl wouldn't actually be so pretty without makeup, so she's really no competition for you). Ok, its reaaaaally hard for people (myself included) when you feel envy. Yeap, one of the worst feelings in the world and you would never ever ever ever admit you get those feelings, but if those comments up there sound a bit familiar to you... face it, you feel envy.
Relax, nothing to worry about. Everybody feels it or has felt it at some points of their lives, but the good thing is that we can always work on being better persons and the only way to start, is by being open minded and realize we can make mistakes and really try to improve ourselves. After all, people changes every day.
So, I know we all criticize and we can all be a bit too harsh on people, but lets face that when we say those comments, we are not degrading the other person, we are actually degrading ourselves.
Something to think about :)
